Submission Guidelines: Issue 2
Artists/Authors of all genders and backgrounds 18+ can submit up to five pieces for consideration for each issue. The cost for a submission of up to five pieces is $10. You will be asked to provide a link to a Google Drive folder that contains the pieces you are submitting and enter payment information. Please be sure the Google Drive folder is shareable and visible to cloverandbeemag@gmail.com.
By submitting work to Clover + Bee, you consent to our Submission Terms + Conditions. If selected, you consent to your work being shared in Clover + Bee Magazine, our social media, website, and blog (subject to your completion of additional questions).
Art: We are open to all genres and styles of visual art. All images must be 300 DPI and submitted as .jpg or .jpeg files. Submitted pieces may or may not be for sale. Images should be titled using the following format: LastName_FirstName_Title_Medium_Dimensions. We are not able to accept film or video pieces at this time. If selected, we may reach out for additional images to include in Clover + Bee.
Writing: We publish short stories and poetry, in any genre or style. All writing must be submitted in Microsoft Word or other editable format. Text should be 12pt Times New Roman, with lines double-spaced (poems may use alternative line spacing); William Shunn’s Modern Manuscript Format provides a good guide. For accepted pieces, we reserve the right to modify typeface and size as needed for spacing and consistency, but will be as deferential as possible to the author’s other formatting choices (think: purposefully unusual indents, visual poetry, etc.). Length: maximum 1,000 words for each short story at this time; maximum 40 lines for poetry. Please use “AuthorName_Title” for file naming. We accept reprints, but please let us know where and when it was previously published.
